With a line up of artists from the USA, Europe and the UK, the Day will cover a wide range of percussion. The legendary frame drummer Glen Velez will be making his first appearance in the UK, as will the recently-formed marimba-vibes duo of Eric Sammut and Juanjo Guillem. Joby Burgess will demonstrate how he uses electronics with acoustic percussion, Richard Benjafield will put together some African drumming pieces and Martin France will cover drumkit. From the St Louis Symphony, Tom Stubbs will share his unique approach to the snare drum. And, as always at this event, there will be an extensive trade exhibition, where leading manufacturers and retail outlets will bring the latest products for you to try and buy. We hope that you will be able to join us for the RNCM’s 18th annual Day of Percussion.
